God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Jesus also said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, people cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for their lives. The apostle Paul wrote, ” For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23) that is, eternal separation from a holy and perfect God.
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for sin. Through Christ you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life and be assured of eternity with Him. ” God commends his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ dies for us.” ( Romans 5:8 ) “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) Jesus said, ” I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. The bible says, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12) Salvation is a gift of God. We receive Jesus Christ through faith. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) When we receive Christ, we experience a new birth, as Jesus described in John 3:7, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” We receive Christ by personal invitation, ” Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in” (Revelation 3:20)
Repenting and turning to God. In Romans 10:8-10, we are given the words of repentance to say,
But what does it say?
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart —that is, the word of faith that we are proclaiming: For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart it is believed for righteousness, and with the mouth it is confessed for salvation..
Father I have sinned against heaven and against Thee, blot out my sin, wash me, and forgive me. Jesus you are my Savior, my Lord, and my Redeemer. Jesus, you died for my sins and I thank you. Lord save me. I surrender my will Lord, let your will be done in my life. Thank you for your loving kindness and tender mercies. Thank you for your saving grace. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me a new beginning. Thank you for making me a new creation- at this very moment I have been made NEW.
I worship you, honor you, and praise your holy name. I pray all things in Jesus Name. Amen.
Read the Bible and talk to the Lord in prayer every day. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12-13)
